New Construction Insulation

Spray Foam Benefits of New Construction

Spray Foam Insulation (SPF) is better than other types of insulation because it expands to fill cracks and crevices in the roof decks and walls. The spray foam binds to the surface and these spaces are filled and will no longer leak air. You will have complete air blockage which will keep your temperate air in and the outside air temps out. SPF will also never decay.

Older insulation deteriorates over time including rolled Fiberglass Batt Insulation and loose fill insulation (also known as blown-in insulation) which will settle, sag and eventually degrade. When this happens, you start to lose the insulation purposes it provided. The traditional products are made with loose weaves and they allow air to pass through. You will never have complete air blockage with batts or loose fill insulation. You will also need to replace it over time as it degrades.
